UPDATE 8/9/16
Villa Park council race seems certain
With
three days left for the two incumbents to pull and file papers for their seats
on the Villa Park City Council, three people have now pulled papers to run for
the two seats.
Vincent
Rossini, Robert "Robbie" Pitts III, and Howard Kirschner have all
pulled papers to run for the seats of Mayor Greg Mills and Mayor Pro-Tem Rick
Barnett.
Rossini,
who announced his bid last year, has already filed his papers and has
qualified.
Incumbents
have until Friday August 12 to both pull papers and file the papers. If an
incumbent fails to file by the deadline,
the nominating period for non-incumbents is extended for five days until Wednesday August 17th.
