Two more possible candidates for Orange City Council
Former OUSD Candidate pulls papers for Council Race

Orange community activist Phil Martinez, who was defeated two years ago in a controversial race by Steve Rocco for a seat on the Orange Unified School Board, (Rocco did almost no campaigning), pulled papers to run for the Orange City Council. Meanwhile, OUSD Trustee Steve Rocco has filed to run for the Rancho Santiago Community College Board.

Also pulling papers in what could become a crowded field for the Orange City Council seats was Arnold Crain. Only Darren Smith of the eleven possible candidates who have taken out papers has filed them. After fileing the papers, the Orange County Registrar’s Office confirms the nominating signatures.

The period to declare candidacy ends August 11 (this is extended until Aug 16th if the incumbent has not filed).
