SERVED WITH RECALL PAPERS
At the June 7th, 2007 Orange Unified School Board Meeting, a small group of community activists began the recall election process against controversial Orange Unified School Board Trustee Steve Rocco. In an anti-climatic moment after a week of internet and print media announcements of the impending service, Rocco did not react when during the Public Comment recall proponent Michael Foster announced he was there to serve Rocco with Recall Papers, handed Rocco the papers, then Foster sat back down in the audience. Rocco said nothing until the end of the agenda reserved for Trustee comments when he stated he would comment about the recall at a later date, "You'll get your answer."
Orange Net News broke the story that Rocco would be served by a small group of community activist joined together to work toward recalling Rocco. The Rocco Recall will be the second recall in the Greater Orange Communities as a Villa Park group is in the process of trying to recall Villa Park Council Member Debra Pauly.
