Almost 200 firefighters on the fire lines.
Buildings at El Modeno Gardens nursery on Jeffrey Road were damaged.
ABC news reports the fire was at Jeffrey Road and Portola Parkway in Irvine as of 8 p.m., where fire crews planned to make a stand, fire officials said.
No evacuation centers had been established yet.
