A
rare Tuesday Orange Unified School Board Meeting will take place on February
12, 2019.
Information
Item 16 B (Agenda page 72*) will be a presentation on a draft proposal for bids
on an updated Comprehensive Facilities
Master Plan.
*The bottom of page 72 mistakenly identifies the Agenda as December 12,
2018
A
new Facilities Master Plan would be needed to move forward on any future bond
elections. The agenda item clearly moves toward looking
at OUSD's elementary and middle schools for facility bond upgrades.
On
page 73 of the Agenda, the first paragraph of the "SUMMARY OF DESIRED
SERVICES" for Item 16B includes a list of planning needs including:
"...new
facilities assessments for the District's Elementary and Middle School
locations..." .
The
list of planning service needs ends with this:
"...and a cost
benefit analysis for options including remodeling, changes of use,
modernization and new construction".
